Dominio de conceptos básicos y habilidades sociales en niños de 5 años de una institución educativa de Chorrillos

Abstract

Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el dominio de los conceptos básicos y las habilidades sociales en niños de 5 años de una institución educativa privada del distrito de Chorrillos, en Lima. La investigación es de nivel descriptivo y tiene un enfoque cuantitativo; el diseño es no experimental, de corte transversal, correlacional. La población estuvo conformada por 52 niños; se realizó un estudio exhaustivo. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Test Magallanes de Vocabulario de Conceptos Básicos adaptado al Perú por Huaire (2015) y la Lista de Chequeo de Habilidades Sociales para Preescolares de McGinnis y Goldstein adaptado al Perú por Doménique (2012). Los resultados muestran una relación positiva considerable (r=.774) entre las variables. Asimismo, el dominio de conceptos básicos se relaciona de manera positiva considerable con la dimensión de habilidades para resolver problemas (r=.780) y de forma positiva media con las habilidades de interacción con otros (r=.690), las primeras habilidades sociales (r=.644) y las habilidades relacionadas con los sentimientos (r=.706).

This research aimed to determine the relationship between mastery of basic concepts and social skills in in 5-year-old children from a private educational institution in the district of Chorrillos, Lima. The research is of a descriptive level and has a quantitative approach. The design is non experimental, correlational and, cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 52 children; an exhaustive study was carried out. The instruments used were the Magallanes Test of vocabulary of basic concepts adapted to Perú by Huaire (2015) and Social Skills Checklist for preschoolers by McGinnis and Goldstein adapted to Peru by Domenique (2012). The results show a considerable positive relationship (r=.774) between the variables. Likewise, basic concepts are related in a considerable positive way with the dimension of Problem-solving skills (r=.780) and in a medium positive way with Interaction skills with others (r=.690), first social skills (r=.644) and Skills related to feelings (r=.706).
