Identidad de orientación sexual y satisfacción con la vida en homosexuales que trabajan en empresas de Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

El objetivo general de la presente investigación fue determinar la relación entre identidad de orientación sexual y satisfacción con la vida en homosexuales que trabajan en empresas de Lima Metropolitana. El diseño fue correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 315 personas homosexuales de ambos sexos. Los instrumentos empleados fueron la Adaptación de la Escala de Identidad de Orientación Sexual (EDOS-LGB) y la Escala de Satisfacción con la Vida (SWLS). Los resultados indicaron niveles bajos de satisfacción con la vida e integración a la identidad, no obstante, se encontró un nivel promedio de incertidumbre y preocupación a la aceptación. En cuanto a la relación de las variables identidad de orientación sexual y satisfacción con la vida se halló una correlación baja, estadísticamente significativa. Además, se encontró que existe una correlación inversa y significativa entre la dimensión incertidumbre y preocupación por la aceptación y la variable satisfacción con la vida

The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the identity of sexual orientation and satisfaction with life in homosexuals who work in companies Metropolitan Lima. The design was correlational. The sample consisted of 315 homosexual persons of both sexes. The instruments used were the Adaptation of the Sexual Orientation Identity Scale (EDOS-LGB) and the Satisfaction Scale with Life (SWLS). The results indicated low levels of satisfaction with life and identity integration, however, an average level of uncertainty was found and concern to acceptance. Regarding the relationship of the orientation identity variables and satisfaction with life, a low, statistically significant correlation was found. In addition, it was found that there is an inverse and significant correlation between the dimension uncertainty and concern about acceptance and the variable satisfaction with life.
